We had a call recently from a woman who had nipple blanchng and exteme
pain between feedings with her last 3 children. It persisted throughout
the first two months and then disappeared. No blanching or pain while
the baby nursed. It was not related to her menstrual cycle.
She is due again in 3 weeks and is looking to find ways to avoid this
problem, if possible. Have her permission to post this and see if the
wise minds of Lactnet do feel this is Reynauds. I have checked the
archives and found that warmth, avoiding cigarettes and stress can be
helpful. Any other suggestions for causes, prevention or treatment?
