Hello Anne,
It sounds as though we have quite a bit in common. My twins were born
at 33 wks. I asked that they be gavage fed until I could nurse them(I
had some complications). I first nursed on PP day 4. We went home on PP
day 6, the babies never having had a bottle. We went straight to the
breast with no real difficulty and they nursed "forever" We were
fortunate not to have any problems at all with oral aversion. What do
you think about cup/finger feeding rather than gavage or bottlefeeding?
