I see no indication for a 6 month rule, it is his rule. WE have an ent here
that has clipped babies for me at just a few days of age. Also my sons oral
maxiofacial surgeon says he has clipped as young as 3 days- when it has been
found out that the fenulum is too short. It is hard on base , but try to
find another physician that will clip. This mom is to be greatly commended
for her perciverence.
best wishes, Even if the bay is gaining and the doc thinks that it is not
effecting breastfeeding- show him the moms nipples and ask how does this
effect breastfeeding?
