I agree with the recommendation of going to the LLL site, either for
their info or as a connection to Liz Baldwin's information. Also I would
recommend, as I've done before, Isabella Fox, PhD, "Being There." (1996) As
I've stated before, this is an excellent book on separation from a baby's
perspective. It deals primarily with separation as in employment - but it
does a great job of explaining how serious separations that are not handled
properly can damage the infant, and she emphasizes that any separation
is/can be problematic. She does explain ways to help off-set and handle
separations properly, so that things can be better handled by the infant, if
the separation is unavoidable.
