I am doing a little research to share with the physicians at my hospital. The pediatric section met and decided to hold babies NPO for an hour at least before circumcision. I am finding a lot of unhappy babies. Other hospitals where I have worked have not done this. Would you send me a private note with the name of your hospital, it's location, whether or not baby is not allowed to eat for a certain time before circumcision ? If there have been any problems, I would like to know that too. Just wondering about the wisdom of this practice when many certainly don't want to eat when it is finished. Don't want to reopen discussion on the wisdom of circs, just would like a little information (privately please!)
Thanks!
