I have a mom who called me at home for Breastfeeding helpand it appears she
has this problem if clamp down and biting by her 1 months old. She is also
getting over her second bout of mastitis.
She corrected the latch to help with sore nipples, but feels the baby is
biting down and her areaola is becoming bruised. I've exhausted my resourses
at home and won't be back in my office for a week. She's not one of my WIC
moms, but I'd like to help her anyway. Can anyone discuss some management
stategies with me or direct me to a source. Nothing about it was in my books
at home (such Riordan and Auerback, and the answer book)
Please if you post to lactnet, also send a copy to my e-mail, since I don't
often have the time to read the lactnets regularly.
