I am working with a baby who, I believe, needs cranio/sacral work. She is
1 month old and is still tongue thrusting with suckling--in and out
repeatedly. Mom's nipples are very sore. Baby is growing well, partly
because of a bountiful milk supply.

I've explored yeast and mom is using some antifungals because of some
burning sensation. There were a few days, now and then, when baby would
feed without hurting the nipples. But the pain has now grown unbearable
and mom is pumping, giving a bottle. The yeast treatment is more of an test.

The most noticable characteristic in the baby is a misshapen head. There
is a bulge in the back, then her head looks fairly normal (a bit narrow),
then there is a large bulge on top and sides in front of the fontenelle.
The front of her head is much larger in diameter than the back 2/3 of her
head.

I believe that the misshapen head is related to her inablity to suckle
properly. From what I have read and heard, this baby can be helped both
with suck and cranial development by cranio/sacral therapy.

Her second stage of labor was very fast--less than 45 minutes.

Have any of you seen such? And am I in the wrong ball park?
