I agree Jean.
My preferred term is "nipple pain".
This doesn't minimize the pain  - as in "sore toe", which doesn't sound very
painful.
And it doesn't tell us the cause of the pain - like "back pain", there can
be many causes.
I would plead for the term "sore nipple" to be banished!
