I agree that we need more breastfed babies and fewer billboards. But let's
not forget that bringing breastfeeding to the eye of the public as something
normal and desirable has to start somewhere. Public awareness along with
support and information is one of the "legs" of that 3-legged stool (that you
sit on!) Kathy Auerbach so elequently described in JHL several years back.
One leg can't stand alone, 2 are wobbly and all 3 are needed to support the
weight of the end product.

By the way, am I the only one who is confused by the recent reference to
someone "sitting the ILCA exam?"  After 14 years of existence by IBLCE (and
ILCA), I am still astonished that people can't understand that ILCA and the
certifying body are two distinctly different organizations.
