A small clarification here. American Home Products is a separate
corporation, not a Nestle subsidiary. Several years ago Wyeth-Ayerst,
one of the divisions of AHP, stopped distributing infant formula in
the US, but it still markets such products (S-26, Promil, SMA, S-26
Gold, and Promise) in other countries. The AHP Web site
(http://www.ahp.com/) does not list products distributed outside the
US but the Wyeth-Ayerst page says, "In addition to its 10 overseas
nutritional plants, the company produces infant nutritional products
at a major, state-of-the-art facility in Georgia, Vermont, U.S.A., for
shipment to international markets." According to its Web page, Action
for Corporate Accountability (http://www.action4corpacct.org/)
boycotts both American Home Products and Nestle.
