Cathy, I really must have missed something because I have not read any deep
discussions of LLL since I've been back on the list and for all I know I
missed a "way out or line" post or two. However, no matter how much bfg info
is now available, in many areas a LLL meeting (or Nursing Mothers, which we
don't have here) remains the only place women can actually see other women
breastfeeding babies/children of various ages/stages. And seeing is very
different than reading or hearing something in a class. I agree different
women have different experiences, but the same holds true of different
women's experiences with different IBCLCs...those are not all so wonderful
either! Therefore, IMHO, I think there will be times/issues when it is
completely appropriate to include LLL in a discussion.
