An intro: My name is Chonyi Glassman. I'm an IBCLC in private practice for
the last 10 years in Rockland County, NY, north of NYC. I am also a
certified childbirth educator, massage therapist and LLLL. Came to this work
after flirting with midwifery and realizing that who I really wanted to work
with are postpartum women, babies and new families.
As far as finding practitioners of cranial work- don't forget to check the
osteopaths in your area, especially the old ones and the newest ones. You
want to find a DO who has had a lot of training in manipulation and who uses
alot of cranial manipulation in their practice. Some DOs are more like MDs,
but the ones who use manipulation usually have much more training than many
CST people. Also some parents are more open to going to a doctor for work
and insurance coverage is more likely. Upledger does offer an advanced
Infant/Baby class- I've not seen the content.
Good Luck---Chonyi
