See Hale on one of the anticholesterol drugs, I can't remember at the
moment, maybe mevacor?? I used this as a reference recently for a mom
with a cholesterol over 300 at 8 months postpartum. This is actually
within normal limits for pregnancy according to my references(I don't
have here at home), should decrease to normal by 4-6 months. Hale very
sensibly states that high cholesterol is a long term problem and even
several years of nursing is not long-term so there is no sense quitting
BF to treat.
