Dear Lactnet friends,
I have a mom with sore nipples due to a 3 week old sucking on her tongue.
She will not open wide, mom tries to get her to suck on her
finger so she can try to push her baby's tongue down but baby will not
have it. Now mom has a plug duct since she favors one position more than
others due to her sore nipples. My suggestions so far.
We worked on better positioning, suggested trying more positions
with nipple shield. Baby is gaining weight, looks great , having good
stools and urine count but mom is a wreck.
All help will be greatly appreciated.
