Just read the post about the anti-depressant used to stimulate milk - its
Sulpiride.     The doctors (in our area)  use it in preference to
metoclopramide and domperidone.    According to the doctors it also calms
the mother and helps her anxiety re lack of milk.   I always ask them to
write up domperidone which is ignored .....oh well!   I believe that it is
quite widely used in South Africa.   A while ago a woman's magazine had an
article about using sulpiride and the abuse of it for b/f mothers.
Perhaps Dr. Hale can comment on this?
