lots of good points in this post, but what first comes to my mind is - isn't
it great that in the US and many other countries, so many citizens within and
outside the law-making system, (law makers are citizens elected by fellow
citizens) have the opportunity to have input into so many issues toward the
goal of the improving life. where within a system that supports the process
of debating opinions that differ, people who have constructive critisiums and
want things changed have ample opportunitues to facilitate/enable/motivate
change with their knowledge, energy, and time.
