I received a call today from a second time mom whom will be delivering
at our hosp. Prior to her first baby she had very unequal breast devel.
She had a reduction on one breast and keyhole incisions on both breasts
with bilat. implants. She said she went through "hell" with her first
trying to breastfeed, pumping, using a SNS, fenugreek, and had little
success. She recalls an IBCLC telling her that she should have been
given a hormone immed. after birth to "trick" her body into thinking she
had triplets. Other than reglan, I have no idea what this could be. How
effective could reglan be given her surgical history?
Is there a list avail. on all the corporations Nestle has investments
with? Also, info. on exactly what was Nestle's involvement in marketing
formula to third world countries. I have a nursing minister who is very
interested in learning more about this.
Thanks again, Dawn Staudt-Vanek, BSN, IBCLC
