I think part of it is that some of us have been doing this for a long time
and how the baby looks and feels is something we automatically input into
our data banks as we go over the situation. Kay Hoover has a pix of a
satiated baby in her new book and also some "hungry" babies. In looking
for satiated baby pix I realized that The BF Atlas pixs concentrate more
heavily on babies and the Visual Guide pix, more on the breast and nipples.
The books certainly complement each other!
Has anyone else used the "empty baby - fisted hand, full baby - relaxed
hand" signals to help parents know when baby is full?
Maybe we need to add more satiated baby pix to our presentations, so
hospital people can become familiar with "the look". :-)
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
