Hi all,
Dr. Jack has not been posting on Lactnet a while now, but I am certain that
he has discussed the idea that there is no *proof*/*research* that shows that
babies (who are not breastfed) do better on cow's milk formula in the second
six months of life than babies who are fed straight cow's milk at that time.
Only a few years ago, if I recall, the Canadian Pediatric Society (or similar
name) said that cow's milk was fine at six months; only recently has that
been changed to one year (perhaps to follow the American model?) - and that
the formula companies are tickled pink that the national pediatric
organization is "selling" their product to mothers of babies over six months.

  Does anyone recollect this?
