Dear lactnetters,
my name is Regine Gresens, I live in Hamburg, Germany, and I'm a midwife and
a lactation consultant IBCLC in private practice and unfortunaltely because
of my profession the field of lactation management i'm the least familiar
with is the care of preemies or ill babies.
Though once in a while I happen to take care for a former preemie now
breastfeeding well or may be still having some breastfeeding problems. For
now I would like to ask all you well-informed and experienced people out
there the question I have often wondered about and never got an anwer so far:
Do preemies have growth spurts as well and at what age (natural or corrected)
do they occur? Does anyone know any references on this subject?
Please answer by private eMail as well as to the list, as i'm just in the
process of changing my internet-provider and also of unsubsribing and
resubscribing to Lactnet, my new eMail-address will be:
[log in to unmask],
TIA, Regine, mother of Jonas (almost 6 years old and still breastfeeding once
in a while)
