Where can I find that milk-making father to document the"think system"
of lactation?

As many of you know, I work with a lot of relactating and adopting
mothers, most of whom are extremely well motivated--and the"think
system" has never worked for them. Could it be that they are thinking
incorrectly?!?

I recently took my 7 y.o. to NYC to see Kathy Rigby as Peter Pan. The
article reminds me of Peter cajoling Wendy, John and Michael to "think
lovely thoughts...lovelier still." In the production we saw, Peter
doesn't sprinkle the fairy dust until Michael says "Christmas", which is
closer to the book's version. Even in Peter Pan, thinking doesn't work
without the fairy dust. So, what fairy dust got this gentleman
lactating?

More seriously, if my wonderful husband began lactating spontaneously
(no matter what he was thinking) I would rush him for a good medical
evaluation, esp of pituitary function, and make sure he had regular
annual mammograms ever after.

Warmly,
Judy Gelman
