Theresa, unfortunately, mom has very little recourse if the neo
continues to forbid the banked milk. Banked milk requires a
prescription from the baby's doctor and he, so far, won't. If the
babies were stable enough, we would be considering transporting them to
a hospital located in 1999. Right now, that's not an option.
Mom is getting so desperate that she wants to get pumped milk directly
from another nursing mother of multiples and just claim that her milk
"came in" and have them feed her babies with it. I have discouraged her
from doing this, but if the neo doesn't come around soon, it's going to
get difficult.
I'm getting really tired of this!!!
