Okay, so now it's morning again, and I realize Valerie has already suggested
the option of donated mother's milk from outside Azerbaijan for the orphans.
I can visualize this tying in with the dream of "a milk bank for every blood
bank." This might be one way to push for it. I can see the possibility of a
LLL group, or other gathering of moms, "adopting" a baby (from wherever) and
providing milk in the name of that baby. I think it wouldn't be terribly
hard for a mom to provide one "pump nursing" for the group's "adopted" baby
per day. The group, including non-pumping individuals, could collectively
help with the screening and shipping costs, and perhaps pumping costs.
Anyone renting/selling pumps could help out somehow with pumps for this
cause.
It looks feasible to me.
