Are there studies related to the development of gestational diabetes (not
juvenile, which I know about) in women who were breastfed as a baby? I
just attended a talk on the services offered here for women who develop GD,
and learned of the great increase in the number of women diagnosed with it.
Of course a lot has to do with the much better ways of diagnosing it now,
but even so, I was wondering if part of the reason for the great increase
is the fact that the large proportion of women of child-bearing age in the
US and PR were not themselves breastfed...
