This is such a nice way to put it. It is so non-confrontational. It doesn't
say, "Your doctor is a quack and doesn't know the first thing about
breastfeeding!" Simply that he/she may not have updated lately on the newest
breastfeeding information (like some else said from 1978!).
I used this same approach when I worked for WIC although I was never told NOT
to contradict a doctor -- just to do it in a *nice* way. My medical director
(a ped himself) always backed me up 100%.
