Too true, that there are so many different breastfeeding helpers, each
with different "title", different education, etc... It can get very
confusing.
However, after working with many mothers who really want to add a
bottle...I would have to wonder if this really what the mom was told.
For example, if she asked someone "Is the baby big enough now, that I
could give bottles with out much worry about nipple confusion?" and the
HCP said "Yes, probably, but you may find pumping for a bottle when you
are with the baby anyway is time consuming...blah...blah...blah..."
I find that many times all the mom hears is that initial YES...the part
she wanted to hear.
Good luck figuring this one out so long after the fact!
