I get my information about pumps from consumers who use(d) them, including
myself. I don't take the word of a pump rep or advertising material at face
value either. You are right to assume that Lactnet is a public forum and
representatives from pump companies AND ABM companies might be among the
readers. And, although I never read "bashing" of any sort in this
professional arena, if I were working for a pump company, I would very much
like to hear how my pump is perceived by consumers. If there were negative
comments, I would appreciate the insight and try to remedy the problem.

Wow, that sounds very suspicious. I appreciate the concern he/she must have
for my condition by recommending the best product and I FEEL many consumers
FEEL the same way (of course this is not a research-based statement, just my
opinion).
<<That particular mom I discussed was not told by a friend how good the
pump was but by a HCP.>>
But I hope she wasn't told by the HCP that pumping was supposed to hurt.
That information sounds more likely coming from a Mom who had a terrible
pumping experience.
