Just a quick brag on my mom. I was born in the 60's, no need for a
history lesson here. I'll just say I wasn't bf for obvious reason. Mom
never quite understood the whole bf thing and asked the standard
questions when I was bf my first son 8 years ago. "Are you feeding him
again?" "How can you tell he is getting enough?" etc. She wasn't
disapproving, just uninformed. Over the years she has come around to be
a great supporter of bf. I think her chubby legged grandkids had quite a
bit to do with that. Anyways, last week I received a Mother's Day card
from her. She had made a donation to the Breastfeeding Coalition of
Washington in my honor. The card was sent by the BCW with some lovely
artwork on the front (kudos to Christine Evans-Thomas). I'm just so
proud of her. I had to tell my friends who would understand.
