A new TV show called "Ladies Man" had a reference to bf on Monday night in
the US. The commercial for the show caught my eye: a new baby is clearly
being breastfed (covered by a shawl) and baby's Grandma states that her son,
the baby's father, nursed for FOUR YEARS. Baby's father says "Thanks Mom,
for a whole new set of nightmares". Now in the show itself, the father's
comment about nightmares *precedes* the Grandma's comment about four years'
nursing. Very interesting how the producers decided to flip flop those
comments, no doubt to make four years of nursing seem freakish.
The Grandma's actual comment was "(he) nursed FOUR YEARS. Yes, he sucked
me dry!" at which point the baby's mother pulls the baby off (without
breaking suction!!) and says "OK, now that's enough!' or something to that
effect. I wish they would use a real baby, those dolls look ridiculous.
