Anesthesia plays a major part in hospital politics. I would suggest getting
one of the group from anesthesia on your side. It really helps by letting
them work among their peers. At our hospital we have a wonderful
relationship with anesthesia and I really value that relationship. I even
persuaded them to buy Dr. Hales book and they even read it.  after they
bought the book. :-)  but it takes getting someone on your side to work with
