I am not sure what is meant by a "full stomach" in Dr. Wight's post. When
babies are nursing for colostrum in the first few days...is that a full
stomach? Our OB's will circ after a feed at the breast. Never have had a
problem with this.
I, too, would be concerned about a baby who was forced to eat two ounces of
ABM then circ'd. I guess I just really don't believe there is that much
colostrum going in to make this a problem. In fact, I was taught that the
average baby gets 37cc of colostrum in the first 24 hours.
