Dear Judi, I think all mothers can use support, and for the ones that feel
less than sucessful with breastfeeding, I would simply state that some
breastmilk will still be beneficial throughout the childs life, and that
closeness is something that comes easily for some, and has to be worked at
for others...but worth the effort, for each mom that tries once and then
discovers what may have contributed to the weaning, she may try again, or at
least encourage someone else. I know that even at LaLeche League meetings we
would have mothers who didn't continue with the first, but tried again and
felt more confident in the knowledge received during the meetings. Keep up
the good work. The name is wonderful. Martha A. Rhea, IBCLC, ICCE, mother,
and grandmother, or just " Mimi"
