I do not like the idea of the soft, flexible cups. It is too tempting to
those who are not well versed in cup feeding to pour the milk into the baby,
rather than it being baby-led. I have always used a 30-45 cc medicine cup in
the hospital, and a shot glass in the home (something most people have
around). I have never had a baby take over 20-30 cc (newborns, that is), and
so truly believe that it is baby-led feeding. Babies who bottle feed 1-3
ounces are definitely overfeeding, IMHO. Not sure how the Paladai (indian
feding cup) works, it will be interesting to see.
