I am astounded that none of the great minds in ILCA have come up with a
simple solution to a problem that has generated just the kind of nastiness
that I was trying to avoid by requesting that matters/issues relating to
ILCA not be posted on LACTNET.

That simple solution is this:
a) have the ILCA office set up a section on their web page specifically
devoted to conference information, INCLUDING persons seeking roommates,
information about the conference, etc. which people can call up and then
respond to.

b) It is my understanding that anyone can call up the ILCA web page. Since
I am only minimally involved in lactation-related email issues at the
moment, perhaps one of you could enlighten me (PRIVATELY, please) if this
is NOT the case.

c) ILCA has numerous means of informing its members of the availability of
such a service on their own web page. I don't seem to get the GLOBE
anymore, but perhaps that might be the way to publicize such a service, if
it is still being published. OR it could be included in some portion of
the journal. If there is no longer a section that pertains directly to
ILCA-specific issues, a letter to the editor might work.

There are numerous ways of avoiding difficulties. Surely there is a way
around the problem raised without questioning co-mothers' motives or
creating MORE work and/or nastiness. Thanks for your understanding.
