Is there such a thing as no frenulum? A year ago, I saw an infant who
was SGA, questionable rooting reflex, tongue position to the roof of the
mouth and no visible frenulum--tongue seemed attached at the back of the
throat. Over a months time, infant did latch on for minutes but mother
has ended up pumping only. Infant had problems with bottlefeeding, too,
until given therapy. Finger-feeding was tried but given up--mom had to
go back to work and felt stressed. I searched the archives and did not
