Lisa,
Certainly waiting to remove a mole that is highly suspect is not an
option. However, I do know that epidural anesthesia is used in this
area, along with versed, to do uncomplicated surgeries on newborns,
including hernia repair.
It would certainly be preferable in this case I would think.
