Does anyone have a good reference article / paper regarding the labial
frenulum and interference in breastfeeding.
I have a little fellow 7 days old with such a tight upper labial
frenulum that the upper lib simply will not flange at all. Lower lip if
very narrow and isn't flanging well either, although the frenulum does
not appear to be tight. Mom's having a terrible time with latch,
sooooore nipples (read that cracked and bleeding).
I'm to talk with pedi Wed am about this. We've tried several positions
and healing interventions for the nipples. Pain during latch is almost
unbearable.
