A mother of a week old infant has been bursting into tears when her 3 1/2 yo
comes over to see her and wants to nurse. She has been managing to nurse him
a few times a day. The first-born is a highly allergic child who has a
restricted diet and she herself was on it for months and months while nursing
him. He had had blood in the stools.

She says that with the first she wanted to be left alone with him after his
birth for over a week - and see no one else.

An herbalist has given her a tincture of nettle, skull cap and mother wort and
a tea of oat straw and alfalfa.

She would like to know if these are compatible with breastfeeding. If anyone
can let me know, I'd appreciate it.
