Hi Robyn,
Eczema is a tricky word to spell! Usually a strong steroid is needed. I use
Diprosone ointment sparingly 3 times a day after feeds. She should see /
feel improvement in a couple of days. She shouldn't use it for more than 10
days. Once the nipples are better she should still avoid soap and shampoo on
the nipples, avoid hot baths / showers / chlorine pools. She may like to use
Lansinoh to prevent nipple dryness. If it recurs she can use the Diprosone
for a few days again.
