In the 1994 edition it says (page 806):
" Various studies support storing milk at 4C from 24 hours to 5 days
without increasing bacterial contamination and retaining some cell
viability."
However in the Suggestions for milk storage box on the same page
it also says "freeze milk that will not be used within 2 days"
Sorry that this just muddies the waters more.
