" The baby was doing something weird with is

Marie-Josee:

Are you in touch with this child's pediatric provider? I ask because I
think this baby should be watched closely. An evaluation of neurologic
status and development would be very appropriate at this time. I would not
say anything to the mother, of course, but your notes led me to believe that
there could be something complex at work here. Since most peds don't see a
3 week old child until the 2 month check-up, I suggest the mother make an
appointment now, and that you contact the provider to alert her/him to your
findings.
