Is it safe for a Mom to breastfeed if her baby has VRE? Our doctors were ok
with the baby receiving EBM but would not let her breastfeed while in the
hospital, in fact she could not hold the baby skin-to-skin for fear the Mom
would contact the VRE.
I work in a large NICU.
