Good day all.  I'm like a dog with a bone about this one, because I can't
seem to get specifics on it.  Client called this a.m., mother of a nursing
17 month old.  She was told that this was her only option with regards to
oral contraception while breastfeeding, and that she should wean for 72
hours after the last pill.  Took 2 - one, then another 12 hours later.  That
was 2 days ago.  She has no breastpump, and this child normally nurses
frequently.  She's been trying to hand express, massage, take warm showers,
etc.

Have searched Hale, Briggs, and done a Lactnet archives search.  Some
mention was made in the archives of morning after pills, but not this one,
and it was a woman who *wanted* to wean anyway.  I have no idea how much
estrogen is in Levora.  At this point, the poor woman is quite engorged, has
a very unhappy toddler and is dying to nurse.  I'd love to tell her to, but
don't feel comfortable doing so without some concrete information, not to
mention the fact that it's probably not approved by the AAP for use by
breastfeeding mothers.  After 2 days, is it even still in her system enough
to affect this toddler?

Any suggestions from the list?
