I recieved a very interesting phone call yesterday and I need your help.
The 63 yr. old mother of one of my past clients(10 months) has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor-gleoblastoma. She was inquiring about where to get lactoferrin because her parents have been doing a lot of reading in alternative medicine books which say this can be a good thing to take. Both have lost spouses to cancer in the past and do not wish to go the chemo or surgery route.
Her physician in Boston where she was diagnosed said it couldn't hurt but has suggested thalidamide. In catalogs, they have seen bovine lactoferrin. My questions are: Has anyone heard of this and what will lactoferrin do for the tumor?
I thought cows milk didn't have lactoferrin- right? Is human lactoferrin made in synthetic form, where do you get it and would it be effective(doubt)? Do we need to go to a milk bank?
Her daughter weaned her baby 2 months ago and asked about relactating so her mom could have the milk if that's the case.
Thanks for you information!
