even if baby is going with mom to the mall, he/she may STILL never see
the light of day -
let's be even more radical :) The mall is definitely not a healthy place
for a baby! No sunshine, no fresh air, and plenty of germs!
Let's bring back the "old-fashioned" pram style carriage and WALK the baby
OUTSIDE in the sunshine everyday that's over 20 degrees! And when the temps
reach 50 degrees, let's park the carriage in the yard after the walk, and
let baby nap in the sunshine while mom enjoys the sunshine and a few
moments of peace and quiet!
I did that with all three of my healthy, long-term BF children(now 4, 10,
and 13 yrs.) and it was good for all of us! Some of my favorite "baby
moments" include pushing that carriage every day and then "parking" it in
the sunshine back at home and sitting on the steps while baby slept! Great
for spending some time outside with the older kids too, with subsequent
babies!
a lactnet "lurker" who couldn't pass on this one :)
