Maurenne,

in your post you say:  "legislation in the US is TRYING to support
working BF moms,"

It seems to me that what this legislation is supporting (as you go on to
suggest) is *breast milk feeding* women.

I agree that we need to consider different work structures and kinds of support
to enable women to breastfeed their babies, and that this would be a worthy aim.
Pretty threatening to capitalist work ethic society, tho, huh?  a product made
in women's bodies, needing no bought raw ingredient, industrialised work
process, technological transport, professional management, or payment to be
produced and transfered to the consumer, -- and no bar code system required for
product re-ordering!!

Not something many corporations want to get involved with, sounds pretty
hippy-ish, why it might even be un-American!! ;-)

Unfortunately, even though Britain is an endearing nation of people who would
rather never work if they could help it (cetrtainly not the kind of hours
Americans work), they have still absorbed enough of a capitalist mindset that
its no better living here.
