I thought that I would add to the "why don't men breastfeed?"  thread. 
That is the name of a chapter in a book I just read about the evolution of
human sexuality by Jared Diamond.  He poses this question rather seriously.
 Evidently they have found a species in the wild (Dyak fruit bat) where the
the male lactates.  He cites the advantages of bf for human infants-- (yea
for him) and talks about the advantage it would be to the entire family if
dad helped out with the bf.  He said that it would take millions of years
to accomplish this through evolution, but we could easily short circuit
that with technology.  Maybe this is a new idea that we could throw out
when the famous "My husband wants to help with feeding the baby" line is
given.  :-)    Oh well, maybe it is ahead of our pschological timeline!!
