"Is there a time after exercise that a woman should wait before
breastfeeding?
I know it's better to breastfeed beforehand, but in this case, the women
goes
and "works out" after work and then goes home to feed the baby. Any
specific
amount of time between exercise and feeding her baby that would be best?"

Don't know the scientific answer to this - seems to me that I've read about
exercise & mobilization of fats into breast milk, but I may be making it
up - but I know that when my twins were little (very little - starting at 10
wks or so) I started a work-out program at the local Y to "get back in
shape", and within a couple of months I was teaching aerobics exercise
classes almost every day, sometimes for 3 hours at a time. Breastfeeding was
absolutely unimpaired from anything I could see and from all feedback I
could get from my hungry babes. Only "problem" I ever had was that they
wouldn't take a bottle from anyone, ever, so I had to be sure & hustle home
in a big hurry. And you better believe I nursed as I was going out the door
& had my blouse open before I even got the front door open!

Now don't get me wrong, friends; I am NOT, despite this revelation, a
physically fit-type person. This was the *only* time in my life that I've
ever been able to lose weight & get in good shape, and it was an aberration.
If you saw me now, you'd never believe I used to do this!
