i agree with kathy dettwyler about informed choice. it must be *really*
informed. i try to keep all my documents (client handouts) to one page,
because i don't think parents can handle anything longer when they are "in a
state." but i made up a document called "bottle and formula feeding" and it
grew and grew, eventually becoming two pages, with 21 items. for a moment i
thought about making it shorter; then i realized it should be longer! the page
on breastmilk storage and handling is, of course, short sweet and easy. what
better?
