I also wrote to the pampers people through the website and asked them to
remove the images of bottles and pacifiers from their diapers. I got a nice
note back saying that the web site really was a separate entity from the
production of diapers, but that she (M.D., M.P.H.) would check into it and
try to get the bottle images removed. She said there shouldn't be any
bottles on the web site, as they were very supportive of breastfeeding, and
that they were working on purging pacifiers from the web site as well.
I do worry about bottle-fed babies not having pacifiers if they are also not
allowed to suck on their fingers or thumbs. Not sure what it does to
children not to have their sucking needs met *somehow*. Of course breast is
best!
